Why Redefining Marriage Threatens Society

California decides governance by ballot.This is not a good system;but you do not ignore the will of the people either.
The redefining of marriage is a bigger issue than a ballot in California.Marriage is an institution that affects our whole culture.It is the cell of a civilized and moral society.
We have a high divorce rate as is. Not to mention immorality that has turned this country into a swamp.This affects everyone.It’s why we lack ethics in government and business.It’s why we have a high teen pregnancy rate.It’s why we have aborted 4 million unborn babies and deem it an acceptable choice.
You want to destroy a community,a society,a civilization? Rot it out from the inside.History shows this is true.
It’s happened time and time again to people who never dreamed it would happen to them.
First you have to ask(even though it seems obvious)what IS marriage?
The union of male and female. Yes,that simple.Why do we have a high divorce rate? Why do we have so many younger people staying single? Why so many teen pregnancies?The introduction of contraception so we could be ‘free’ to use people as objects.
The pursuit of pleasure.It’s called pursuit for a reason,The pursuer is never satisfied.The decision in California will go to the Supreme Court and the country will be almost as divided over this as it was over Roe V Wade.
The question will be asked.How does permitting people with same sex attraction to get married,hurt marriage.The answer is because it redefines marriage and that is destructive.
